TRACES OF AN ANCIENT LANGUAGE

The Oscan-Samnite alphabet, whose writing direction was from right to left, originated around the 5th century BC and is derived from the Etruscan alphabet. Among the finds testifying to its use is the Agnone tablet (3rd century BC), which bears on its bronze surface a text citing no less than seventeen deities linked to the fruits of the earth, confirming the relationship between the Samnites and nature.

VOLCANIC IGNIMBRITE SOILS, RIVER TERRACES, ANCIENT BLACK SOILS OF THE MARLY HILLSIDE. AN ENSEMBLE OF TERROIRS FOR A HARMONY OF FLAVOURS.

The Alfabeto line includes wines that come from the selection of the vineyards spread across the different terroirs of the Janare estate. Just like conducting an orchestra where each component must give its best, guaranteeing absolute harmony to the whole, here the work consists in selecting, from each vintage, the best grapes from different soils, morphologies and microclimates, resulting in unfailing constancy of character and quality, which our valley is always able to guarantee.
